Meet the Staff
Daniel Nester
Spirit Coordinator | Head Cheerleading Coach Alma Mater: Virginia Tech, 2011 Joined GT Staff: December 2017 Prior to Georgia Tech: Nester served as the spirit coordinator/head cheerleading coach at Bowling Green State University. During this time, his program placed third at the UCA National Cheerleading Championship in 2015 and 2017. Nester was a member of the Virginia Tech cheerleading Squad from 2007-2011. During his undergraduate career, he lettered and competed at the NCA Collegiate National Championships all four years.
Claudia Cole
Head Goldrush Coach Alma Mater: Valdosta State University, 2012 Joined GT Staff: August 2017 Prior to Georgia Tech: Cole was a head instructor for the National Dance Alliance collegiate summer programs. She has had roles as camp lead instructor, adjudicator, and coaches training. Cole also served as the choreographer at Vestavia High School. During this time, the program placed top 3 at the NDA National High School Championships in 2016 and 2017. Cole was a member of the Valdosta State Redhots dance team from 2008-2012. During her undergraduate career, she competed at the NDA Collegiate National Championship where she was captain of the 4 time National championship team!
Adrian Newbill
Assistant Cheerleading Coach Alma Mater: The University of Tennessee, 2012 Joined GT Staff: September 2015 Prior to Georgia Tech: Newbill was an assistant coach the The University of Tennessee cheerleading team right after graduating from the university in 2012. His primary role was to develop and mentor the athletes, recruiting, and enhancing the fan game-day experience with a cohesive crowd leading sideline. He also taught tumbling and stunting at Premier Athletics during his time coaching for Tennessee. Newbill cheered for The University of Tennessee from 2008 to 2012 and competed at the UCA Collegiate National Championships while obtaining a chemical engineering degree.

Taylor-Marie Edwards
Volunteer Goldrush Coach Alma Mater: Georgia Institute of Technology Joined GT Staff: January 2017 Prior to Georgia Tech: During her undergraduate years, Edwards was a member of the Georgia Tech Goldrush Dance Team from 2011-2013. Before joining Goldrush, She was an active member of DanceTech, Georgia Tech’s club dance organization. She currently works in Commercial Real Estate Finance.
Courtney Beale
Volunteer Cheerleading Coach Alma Mater: University of Cincinnati Joined GT Staff: May 2018 Prior to Georgia Tech: Beale was a summer camp instructor and gym staff member for AmeriCheer from 2010-2011. Beale was a member of the University of Cincinnati All-Girl team from 2005-2009 which placed 2nd at the UCA Collegiate National Championship in 2007. Beale competed on the Cincinnati Co-ed team in 2009.
